Bottled Water Free Day - Thursday March 10
University stakeholders are currently working to reduce unnecessary bottled water consumption on campus!
- March 10 is Bottled Water Free Day, visit our website at http://www.mcgill.ca/sustainability/get-involved/bottled-water and take the poll;
- McGill Food and Dining Services sells reusable bottles at cost as an alternative to buying individual bottles of water
- McGill Redbird Sports Shop (at Athletics downtown) will be selling reusable bottles at a 10% discount on squeeze bottles and stainless steel bottles March 10 ONLY
- Macdonald Campus Bookstore will be selling their collapsible water bottles at a discount for $4 each for this event
Keep an eye out in the LINK for a new water fountain that will have a filtered bottle filling station in the next month.

Workshop #1 – Safer Spaces: Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity
Description: This workshop aims to enhance the acceptance and integration of people of all
sexual orientations and gender identities in the McGill community. An interactive workshop for
faculty, staff, and student leaders, it addresses topics such as heterosexism, homophobia, and
transphobia on campus, pursuing the following aims:
• To help participants become more sensitive to the needs of a diverse community involving
people of many different sexual orientations and gender identities
• To affirm the sexual and gender diversity of the community; and
• To raise awareness of how forms of prejudice such as heterosexism, homophobia, and
transphobia can adversely affect spaces of work and learning at McGill
